Once again at the Aviation Fair – Pilatus PC-9M
At this year’s 33rd annual Aviation Fair, which will take place on the weekend of June 7–8 in Pardubice, representatives of two foreign air forces will also be participating. In addition to the previously announced Tornado jet from the German Luftwaffe, which will be featured in a static display, the Slovenian turboprop trainer Pilatus PC-9M will also make an appearance.
„Slovenian military pilot Andrej Fiorelli will be flying the Pilatus. He made his debut here last year and truly captivated the audience with his performance. He was also very pleased with the atmosphere at the Aviation Fair and personally expressed interest in returning for this year’s edition. Of course, we were happy to agree, as his flight display is truly unique,“ says Jan Rudzinskyj of the Aviation Fair organizing team. He continues: „Although Swiss-made Pilatus aircraft are primarily designed as trainers, in Slovenia the PC-9M is the main type used by their air force. Its powerful turboprop engine gives the aircraft great agility, which Andrej Fiorelli knows how to take full advantage of—as we witnessed firsthand at last year’s Aviation Fair. The pilot demonstrated excellent maneuverability, seamlessly switching between horizontal and vertical elements, at times disappearing into the sky. He even included figures typically reserved for aerobatic specialists. It was a spectacular sight, especially considering that Saturday’s show was held in very poor weather conditions. I believe we’ll enjoy the display once again this year—and hopefully under sunny skies to enhance the experience,” adds Jan Rudzinskyj.
The Aviation Fair is a traditional all-day event for the whole family. On both Saturday and Sunday, visitors can enjoy a diverse ground program featuring a variety of displays and activities for both children and adults. The flight program itself will last over five hours.
