Formation aerobatics have always been an inseparable part of the history of the Aviatická Pouť airshow, represented primarily by the legendary Flying Bulls Aerobatics Team. The team has participated in almost every edition of the event, and spectators of the 34th Aviatická Pouť, taking place on 30–31 May at the airport in Hradec Králové, will once again be able to enjoy their top-level performance.
“Flying aerobatics in formation, with four aerobatic aircraft flying in a tightly coordinated group across the sky, is an incredible spectacle for spectators, but an extremely demanding discipline for the pilots. It is therefore no surprise that there are only a few such teams in the world. Without exaggeration, we can say that the truly elite and still active teams could be counted on the fingers of one hand. For several decades, the Czech Flying Bulls Aerobatics Team has belonged among them. The team is one of the regular highlights of the Aviatická Pouť, and throughout the event’s history there has been no other performer appearing more consistently. This year marks the 34th edition of the Aviatická Pouť, and the team has missed only three editions, due to performances abroad,” says Petr Kovačka from the organizing committee of the Aviatická Pouť. He continues:
“The history of the team dates back to 1960, when Jiří Tlustý founded a formation team at the Chrudim aeroclub, later known as the ‘Chrudim Four’. They flew aircraft from the famous Trener series. Today, these same historic aircraft are flown by a group of young pilots and passionate enthusiasts called Trener Box. They demonstrate truly impressive formation flying skills, which visitors of this year’s Aviatická Pouť in Hradec Králové will also have the opportunity to witness,” adds Petr Kovačka.
“The Aviatická Pouť is not only about aircraft, but also about presenting our partners. This year, we have newly established cooperation with the Bone Marrow Donor Registry. Their stand will be located at the airport grounds, where visitors will not only be able to learn many interesting facts, but can also undergo a painless test to determine whether they could become suitable donors and help save the health and lives of others. We have summarized this cooperation under the slogan: ‘An airshow for you, a chance for someone else.’ More information can also be found on the Kostnidren.cz website,” adds Jan Rudzinskyj from the organizing committee of the Aviatická Pouť.

The Aviatická Pouť is a traditional all-day event for the whole family. Both Saturday and Sunday will feature a rich ground program with numerous presentations and activities for children and adults alike. The flying display itself will last for more than five hours.
