Another Czech Premiere at the Aviatická Pouť

A diverse lineup of aircraft from different eras will form a more than five-hour flying program at the 34th edition of the Aviatická Pouť, which will newly take place at Hradec Králové Airport on the weekend of May 30–31, 2026.

“The word ‘Pouť’ in the name of the event primarily refers to a journey — a journey through the history of aviation. Every year, we strive to compose the flying program in a way that shows visitors how aviation has developed over more than a century. We have maintained this concept when creating this year’s program in Hradec Králové,” explains Jan Rudzinskyj from the Aviatická Pouť organizing team, and continues:

“Visitors will see both aircraft from the very beginnings of aviation as well as the most modern ones. Among the aircraft that will take us back to the earliest days — and will also be demonstrated in flight — is a replica of the famous aircraft of Eng. Jan Kašpar, the Blériot Type JK system. With this aircraft, on May 13, 1911, he carried out his historic flight from Pardubice to Prague. The first Czech aviator made his first flights already a year earlier, and spectators could see his first public performance in his hometown Pardubice on June 19, 1910. Interestingly, the second city to admire the flying skills of this courageous young man was Hradec Králové on July 3, 1910. Therefore, it is only fitting that this city commemorates the first Czech aviator.”

“The replica, built by Václav Vondrášek, is owned by the Aviatická Pouť Association and operated by the AP Flight Unit, based at the Pardubice Aviation Exhibition at Kunětice Airport,” adds Jan Rudzinskyj.

The Aviatická Pouť is a traditional full-day event for the whole family. Both on Saturday and Sunday, a rich ground program will also be prepared, including presentations and activities for children and adults. The flying program itself will last more than five hours.
