Another Czech Premiere at Aviatická

This year’s 34th edition of Aviatická pouť will take place over the weekend of May 30–31, 2026, at Hradec Králové Airport. On both days, a full-day program is prepared, with the flying display itself scheduled as a block lasting more than five hours. In addition to well-known regular participants, several new highlights will appear in the skies over Hradec Králové. One of them will be the Swedish airshow group Scandinavian Airshows with a Grumman Ag Cat aircraft, featuring a pair of wingwalkers posing during aerobatic flight on the wings of the yellow biplane.

“Every airshow program needs something to ‘spice it up’ to truly become an airshow and to satisfy the audience. The Scandinavian Airshows team perfectly meets these expectations. They are well known at airshows not only across Europe but also in other parts of the world,” says Jan Rudzinskyj from the Aviatická organizing team, and continues:

“Their performance with a pair of aerial performers—wingwalkers—is a show from the ground, through the flight display itself, all the way to landing. Throughout the entire performance, both women in tiger-pattern flight suits remain in contact with the audience, creating a fantastic atmosphere. It is remarkable how effortlessly they move on the wings even during aerobatic maneuvers. The group is currently led by Jacob Holländer, continuing a family tradition, as it was founded in 1977 by his father. Nearly half a century on top airshow stages is truly impressive. During the performance, the maneuvers are highlighted by thick smoke effects in Swedish national colors. The yellow, robust Grumman Ag Cat biplane, powered by a powerful radial nine-cylinder engine, will also make its Czech airshow debut. Watching its graceful aerobatics, spectators would hardly believe that the aircraft was originally developed for agricultural aviation. It was one of the first agricultural aircraft designs, and nearly three thousand Ag Cats of various versions were produced, reflecting its wide use,” adds Jan Rudzinskyj.

Aviatická pouť remains a traditional full-day event for the whole family. Both Saturday and Sunday will feature a varied ground program with numerous presentations and activities for children and adults alike. The flying display itself will last more than five hours.
