A Colorful Ground Program at the 33rd Edition of the Aviation Fair

The Aviation Fair Offers a Rich Program on the Ground Too

One of the biggest air shows in the Czech Republic, the Aviation Fair of Ing. Jan Kašpar, is fast approaching. For the 33rd time, it will welcome aviation enthusiasts to Pardubice Airport. Regular visitors already know that the all-day program, running from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., includes not only spectacular flying displays but also a wide range of engaging activities and exhibitions on the ground—perfect for both young and old.

Children will once again celebrate International Children’s Day with our partners. Around sixteen activity stations will be available for them to test their physical skills and knowledge, running both days from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“What kind of tasks await the children is something we won’t fully reveal just yet. But we can promise one thing for sure—the first prize for one lucky participant is a travel voucher worth CZK 30,000 from CK Fischer. Other lucky winners can look forward to a gift certificate for a sightseeing flight worth CZK 3,000, aircraft models, smartwatches, and a range of other prizes,” says organizing team member Majka Schillerová.

History lovers can once again enjoy an engaging exhibition about Czechoslovak RAF pilots. Both professional and volunteer firefighters will also be on site with presentations. No aviation show is complete without gleaming car hoods—from the most modern vehicles to historical classics.

Visitors, young and old, will likely spend a lot of time exploring zones 1 through 6, where the Czech Army, the Czech Air Force, and LOM Praha, s.p., CLV Pardubice will exhibit a large array of military and aviation technology. A large group of RC model aircraft enthusiasts from all over the country will also head to Pardubice—don’t miss their extensive exhibition in Zone 13.

In Zone 10, you can take a virtual flight with our aviation squadron. There’s also a photo opportunity with aviator Jan Kašpar beside a replica of his historic Blériot aircraft. If you’re a fan of outdoor escape games, try your luck in the aviation-themed escape game “Flying with Kašpar.”
Throughout both days, you’ll have the chance to meet Czech and international pilots and other guests in the autograph tent.

Of course, no experience is complete without great food and drink. From international cuisine to traditional Czech pork specialties, your taste buds are in for a treat. Two gastro zones (west and east) and an aviation-themed restaurant in Zone 11 will serve up a variety of delights.

The morning program includes, among other things, talks with special guests starting at 10 a.m. in Zone 9. On Saturday, you can meet future astronaut Aleš Svoboda, and on Sunday, renowned doctor Tomáš Šebek.

Just after 11 a.m., attention will shift to the grassy area in 3D Zone, where dynamic demonstrations by security forces will take place. Dozens of vehicles, police officers, and working dogs will show the demanding nature of their duties. The Czech Prison Service will perform a prisoner escort ambush scenario, including a service dog intervention. The Foreign Police Directorate will demonstrate a mobile unit operation against smugglers on the Czech border.

A formal opening ceremony with guests and partners will be held just before noon. At exactly 12:00 p.m., the five-hour flying program will kick off in traditional style, led by the Czech Army.
